The Australian Naval Flag Administrator (ANFA), Rear Admiral Rachel Durbin AM CSC RAN, invites Defence members, Defence industry partners, international counterparts and other participants across the Defence maritime enterprise to attend the Defence Seaworthiness Conference on 3 September 2026.
In a period of rapid change, Defence is evolving its maritime regulatory system to keep pace with the introduction of new capabilities and to ensure it remains efficient, effective and credible in delivering seaworthiness outcomes for an integrated, focused force.
Centred on the theme Focused seaworthiness for a focused force: transitioning to the Defence Seaworthiness Program, the conference will provide updates on the introduction of the Defence Seaworthiness Program and offer a forum to explore the strategic, regulatory and operational shifts shaping Defence’s maritime domain.
The speaker line‑up will address the issues that matter most; our strategic environment, what has changed in Defence’s maritime regulations, and what lies ahead. Expect dynamic panel discussions, and meaningful opportunities to connect, engage and network across the Defence maritime community.
The conference is open to Defence personnel, industry partners and other Government departments. Attendees unable to travel to Canberra can also register to participate virtually via the same registration link.
